Caplice Family Sports is a private, invite-only family site. We don’t sell data, run ads, or share information with marketing partners. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Google account info — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your name, and your Google profile photo URL. We use these to identify your account and pre-fill your profile.
- Profile details — display name, username, and an avatar image you (or an admin) upload.
- Activity in the app — competitions you enter, picks you make, scores recorded by admins, and your chat messages, reactions, and any image attachments you post.
- Basic technical info — standard request logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
Where it lives
- App data (profiles, competitions, picks, chat messages) is stored in a Supabase-hosted Postgres database.
- Uploaded images (avatars, chat attachments) are stored in Cloudflare R2.
- Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using Google as the identity provider.
- GIFs picked from the in-app picker are streamed directly from Giphy; the URL is stored with the message.
Cookies
We only set the session cookies required to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Retention
- Chat messages are kept for 365 days by default and then automatically removed. Admins may adjust this in settings.
- Profile, competition, and picks data is kept for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete a message it’s hidden from view immediately and removed from storage on the retention schedule.
Children
Caplice Family Sports is a family site that includes minors. Accounts for minors are created by a parent and managed under their supervision. If you’re a parent and want a child’s account or content removed, email us.
Sharing
We don’t sell or share your data with third parties for their own marketing. We rely on the service providers listed above (Supabase, Cloudflare, Google, Giphy) only to operate the Site.
Your choices
- Edit your display name, avatar, or other profile details from the Settings page.
- Delete your own chat messages at any time.
- Email us to request account deletion or a copy of your data.
Changes
If we change how we handle data we’ll update this page and bump the effective date above.
